Sometimes you gotta return “home” to regroup and regain focus. Almost six years later I’m back in Colombia. Our first sourcing trip went down here, just a few months shy of officially launching RAD AND HUNGRY.
We believe in getting to know people and places through commerce and design. Someone else's daily diet of lo-fi goods is simple to her yet sacred to us, and vice versa. Let's marvel at each other's mundane, because that shit is dope.

Sometimes you gotta return “home” to regroup and regain focus. Almost six years later I’m back in Colombia. Our first sourcing trip went down here, just a few months shy of officially launching RAD AND HUNGRY.
There’s something magical about Romania, and it’s not just the people or the mystery and fame of Dracula. Drive through Transylvania and you’ll feel it – it’s straight out of a fairytale.
Athens. The birthplace of Western civ – and my love of travel. It’s also the birthplace of RAD AND HUNGRY, long before I knew it.
Sometimes you have to work at relationships. Slowly. Bit by bit. Like peeling an artichoke, where you peel leaf by leaf till you get to the heart… my connecting with Romans took the same form. And sometimes the ones that are built over time are built to last.
Mexico is magic. More than any other country, Mexico takes hold of me (my heart AND my belly). Mention Mexico and people often think of touristy resorts and beaches or drug cartels and violence. But it’s so much more than the stereotypes.
Low-down adventures and lo-fi travel are all about the wrong turns. You gotta get down and gritty, feel the heat radiating off the asphalt, the golden wheat on the palm of your hand. It’s a bit uncomfortable, a bit of work, a bit WTF – but that’s when you score.
Why do I always wanna head back to Brazil? ‘Cause so much magic happens despite each trip leavin’ me a bit broken.
Scotland reinforced why I love what I do. I connect with people and we work the old-school way. Reviewin’ print catalogs, takin’ notes, and yes, makin’ phone calls.
I headed to London with a list of companies to hit. No prearranged tours – just fingers-crossed for the best. Hoping they’d love RAH as much as we love them. And sure enough they did.
Gut punched and in tears from the spices… but no pain, no gain. Nothing’s stopped us so far from gettin’ the goods (not even flooding in Morocco!), and nothing was stopping us now!
