We believe in getting to know people and places through commerce and design. Someone else's daily diet of lo-fi goods is simple to her yet sacred to us, and vice versa. Let's marvel at each other's mundane, because that shit is dope.

Tupiniquim Brazil Crepes, Edinburgh, Scotland – Spot Check

Sometimes we go hard, nonstop for so long that we forget to eat. Until that moment – you know it. HANGRY. And then only one thing matters – FOOD. It was one of those moments, on the hunt and racin’ across Edinburgh all morning into the afternoon. We put the hunt on hold and turned back. Earlier we spotted a corner that was crackin’ with loads of people lingering around. Turns out everyone was huddled around a kiosk crankin’ out gluten-free crepes, Brazilian style.

It takes a lot to convince me to stand around in freezing cold weather, waiting for food that’s a crapshoot (hello, gluten-free). AND to have to fight the wind to eat it! But I spotted a super stylie gal rockin’ a layered look… the leather, the fur, the baggy military-green jacket… and I was like, ok. I want her outfit. I want what she’s eating. Apparently it takes a lot unless it’s an outfit that I wanna jack!

I don’t remember what was in my crepe but it was AH-MAZING. So good and possibly the best meal I had in Scotland. Was it worth the wait? Hellz yeah. Was it destined for us to discover Tupiniquim? Who knows… but I did book a ticket to Brazil as soon as I returned to Seattle.
