Lovecrumbs Cake Shop, Edinburgh, Scotland – Spot Check

Wet and cold. Windy as fuck. We needed a place to wait out the downpour and lucky for us, we knew the perfect spot was a short dash from where we stood. We passed Lovecrumbs earlier in the day when chasing down a lead. Little did we know that our hunt for office supplies would lead us deep into The Pubic (yeah, that’s REALLY it’s name!) Triangle – home of strip clubs, book shops, and the best cake shop in Edinburgh!

Lovecrumbs is not a cafe serving the usual suspects. No soups or sandwiches, and you’ll get a blank stare if you ask for gluten-free options. What they do serve? CAKE. So many different kinds of cake, changed up daily. They also do coffee, tea, hot coco, and sell housemade goodness.

It’s no fuss. You won’t find super trendy minimalist mod furniture or rows of perfectly displayed bags of coffee beans. Instead you’ll discover a cozy spot filled with a mashup of worn down furniture, mismatched cup and saucers, and kitschy decorations. It’s organized chaos done right.
