L'estuido Cafe, NYC, USA – Spot Check
A few hours to kill between meetings or before headin’ to the airport during a RAD AND HUNGRY sourcing trip? I get down with a perfect pair – a grubbin’ stop to feed my hungry belly and a destination shop to scope out rad thangs.
NYC makes me wanna power through a massive list of restaurants and shops. But I resist. I don’t wanna stress gettin’ from one spot to the next. I never wanna run late because missin’ a flight is not a good thing. Uber may make travel easier in some cities, but it doesn’t mean you won’t get stuck in traffic or have to navigate road closures or accidents. So I keep it simple.
I walked to L’estudio in the Lower East Side from the Maritime Hotel up in Chelsea. It’s a trek, but it’s my fave way to explore NYC. No surprise there was a wait for a table, so I walked a few blocks to Coming Soon. The shop is chock full of super rad furniture and home goods, magazines and art, lots of random, and so much pink!!
My table was ready when I returned to L’estudio. It’s a dreamy little spot that oozes simple romance. The soft haze. The peach glow. The menu is tight but perfectly edited – enough variety that doesn't overwhelm yet plenty of options. My rushed photo of breakfast doesn’t do the meal justice – I was too excited to get my grub on!
