I was in the calm of the moment – appreciatin’ being far from the frantic pace of Hanoi and my life back in Seattle.
One trip to Việt Nam down and I was ready for the crazy awesomeness – her frenzied pace mixed with grime, yet still a total babe. My parents though – they were in complete awe.
Vintage Emporium is a mellow spot. It’s a mix of vintage mid-century-inspired furniture with local design. Best of all? They serve breakfast all day – YES!!!
Sometimes you score big in little ways – namely, mini Vietnamese staplers that are TRICKED OUT.
A mom-and-pop shop named after the daughter? That’s the kind of family affair we love.
Việt Nam was a constant stream of gettin’ schooled how the locals do. The first time we had to cross the flooded stream of nonstop scooters to get to the other side of the road… INSANITY.
